Barbara Lusch announces the national release of her new CD, Surprisingly Good For You. The CD will be distributed via Burnside Distribution to major and independent record stores, and will also be available online on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Borders.com, CDBaby.com and iTunes.com. The CD will be released to radio and to internet music stations worldwide. Track 2, "Crazy" is already being played on acclaimed Triple A format stations such as Portland's KINK 102 FM.
Lusch received regional and national critical acclaim for her self-titled debut CD, released in 2004. Her new release, Surprisingly Good For You, will be just as irresistible to fans, featuring signature jazzy renditions of 40's,'50s and '60s-era gems such as "Sentimental Journey," "For All We Know," "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" and many other beloved standards and modern-era favorites. The CD closes with a distinctive presentation of Hoagy Carmichael's "Stardust."
Lusch's new CD boasts accompaniment from some of the Northwest's finest jazz musicians, including Bobby Torres, Dan Gaynor, Scott Steed and Reinhardt Melz. They were also featured on her debut disc, and once again bring an exceptional level of musicianship in their support of Lusch's interpretation.
Lusch plans to support the CD release with numerous performances in the Pacific Northwest, with more dates to be announced soon.
